Central America is a subregion connecting North America and South America. It includes seven independent countries located between Mexico and Colombia.
Although often referred to as a separate region, Central America is geographically part of the North American continent.
The seven countries of Central America are Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.
