Test your knowledge of American flags below, or review them first if you need a refresher.

North and South America are home to 35 diverse nations, each with its own unique culture, history, and identity.

If you’ve been learning the flags, particularly the North American and South American flags, now is the perfect time to test your knowledge with this American Flag Quiz!

How did you do?

The Americas cover a huge range of flag styles. Central American and Caribbean nations often feature similar color schemes, which can make them tricky to tell apart. Many South American flags use yellow, blue, and red, derived from the flag of Gran Colombia.

Some are easier to spot. Canada’s maple leaf flag is one of the most recognized in the world. Brazil’s green background with a yellow diamond and starry globe is equally distinctive. Jamaica stands out as one of the few national flags that doesn’t contain red, white, or blue.
