Test your knowledge of Asian flags below, or review them first if you need a refresher.
Asia, the largest and most populous continent on Earth, is home to 49 countries, each with its own history, culture, and identity.
One of the easiest ways to recognize these nations is through their flags, seen at international events, on government buildings, and as symbols of national pride.
Note: This quiz includes 48 flags. Although Egypt is sometimes included in broader definitions of Asia, it is excluded from this quiz because it is primarily classified as an African country.
How did you score?
If you recognized most of the flags, well done! The continent includes a wide variety of flag designs, from simple color fields to detailed symbols and emblems. Some flags feature stars, crescents, or suns, while others include intricate national symbols that require closer attention.
A few flags are especially distinctive. Japan’s simple red circle on a white background is instantly recognizable, while Nepal stands out as the only non-rectangular national flag.
Many Middle Eastern flags share common colors such as red, white, black, and green, making small details important when telling them apart.
